Artsy Fartsy Time

I am going to dust off my woodworking skills that my grandpa taught me when I was a pre-teen and build the boys a play kitchen.

We are too cheap to buy a plastic kitchen. Even if we weren't, Hubbs is totally against the idea of the boys playing with a pink stove.

So we are drawing up plans for the kitchen now. I will post pictures someday!

Microwave Potato Chips

Thank you to thecakemaker from BBC for this recipe!
Ingredients:
3 red potatoes, sliced thinly
1/4 Cup Olive Oil
Salt + seasoning of your choice

Directions:
Slice potatoes; brush on both sides w/ olive oil; sprinkle with seasonings. Layer 3 paper towels on a microwave-safe plate. Place the potatoes (do not overlap) on the plate. Microwave for 3 minutes. Turn over and microwave for 2-3 minutes longer, until dried and crispy. Repeat process for second batch. This works and tastes great.
